New Beauty Products Worth a Try
In many of our posts, we recommend tried and true beauty favorites. The types of products that have gone down in history, are holy grails, and those that would destroy the beauty community if ever discontinued. But as a new season is springing, I thought it is about time to chat about some new beauty launches.
The beauty industry has new products released what seems like every week. Step foot in a Sephora, ULTA, or even the drugstore, and you will find an indulgent counter of NEW products. These can all look fancy and irresistible, but there is a reason they don’t all become must haves. Not everything lives up to the hype or the cute packaging. So before you dive head first into the shiny new foundations and creams, especially the luxury ones, let’s see which are worth a try.

We have all heard of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eye palette. That sold out like hot cakes. Well, Anastasia’s newest launch is the Soft Glam palette. This is a super wearable, super blendable, and super unique mix of soft shades. With a mix of both warm and cool tones, shimmers and mattes, and enough shades to create any look, this has been a bestseller since the day it dropped. Just check out the #SoftGlam hashtag on Instagram to see all the looks that have been created thanks to these glorious shades.

If you do a lot of heat styling in the winter months, but go au naturale in the spring and summer, the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Strength + Moisture Leave-In Mask is exactly what you need. With rave reviews across all platforms, the brand’s newest launch has added moisture, shine, and brought life back to women’s hair. Plus, this is a product for all hair types and actually repairs the hair.

Sometimes new beauty products are ones that include the classics. And recently the killer skincare sensation Drunk Elephant launched The Littles, a mini collection of some of their best products for you to try out. This sort of sets have incredible value, travel friendly packaging, and let you try a bunch from a brand without the hefty investment. With this, you’ll get a 30 to 45 day supply of 8 different cruelty free products.

It is time to lighten up the coverage and show our skin to the world. But if you’re anything like me, you still want a bit of tint to ease your way into revealing your bare skin and some SPF to protect it. And your skincare favorite, First Aid Beauty, hit it out of the park with their Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30. This little lady comes in five sheer shades that are buildable, lightweight, and hydrating. What more could you want?

For the body, our old friend Dove has launched a body scrub worthy of a spa night. With three glorious scents in their Exfoliating Body Polish you can get smooth and glowing skin for under $7. But if you want something a bit more indulgent the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bod Buff Smoothing Scrub n’ Mask is outstanding. Not only does it smell like your away on a tropical holiday, but within the few weeks it has been available, customers are sharing their obsession with this luxurious body healer.

As you know, we support hair removers and hair growers alike. But if you like to remove your body hair from the legs to the mustache, Finishing Touch Flawless is for you. You may remember these gals from their original infomercial launched about 7 years ago, and this past Christmas their newest facial hair remover was a big seller. It is a fancy little lipstick shaped tube that gently removes any and all hair from your face. It is affordable and convenient, and actually works. Now onto the newcomer, Finishing Touch recently launched Flawless Legs to offer the same control and convenience as the original, and usable for all over your body.

And finally, my favorite beauty product to test out is mascara. There are always new mascaras popping up throughout the year. Some are worth the hype, others not so much. But one that seems to withstand its humongous launch is Benefit BADgal BANG! Mascara. If you didn’t know, Benefit is one of the bestselling mascara brands ever. And their newest volumizing formula with a rubber bristle brush seems to be keeping up with the pact.
So which are you dying to get your hands on? Personally, I’m feeling the need to stock up on everything from Sol De Janeiro, because that scent transports me directly into summer. But you’ll be happy with any and all of these newbies. They are definitely here to stick around.
