There are millions of beauty products available around the world. With everything from drugstore to luxury, the options are limitless. Even with brands on brands on brands, you tend to stick to what you know, keep on trying new launches from old favorites. Unless you are actively searching for the latest, you are missing out. Along with the beauty products you always hear about, there are plenty of fantastic ones flying under your radar. Sometimes stepping outside of your comfort zone and dipping your toes into a new and unfamiliar territory is just what your beauty routine needs!

Shero Science Power-C Brightening Serum

Believe it or not, I discovered a female-founded and cruelty-free brand called Shero Science. To my surprise, their best-selling product, Power-C Brightening Serum showed massive results in just two weeks of daily application. But, with such impressive results, I have yet to hear anyone in the mainstream beauty world mentioning this glorious product. This watery daily serum features three game-changing ingredients: vitamin C, vitamin E, and ferulic acid. This trio helps to fade wrinkles, lessen dark spots, protects your skin from pollution, and brightens all over dullness.

I know those claims sound too good to be true, but just check out my before and afters. My skin has never been this glowy. Who would have guessed that a few drops of this unheard-of serum would make such a difference?

Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Collection

via Derma E

Derma E is a vegan and cruelty-free brand that although impressive is rarely mentioned in magazines or on beauty blogs. With its vast range of products from acne prevention to hydration, the brand seems to do it all. And they do it all well. With mid-range prices, the ingredients blow high-end brands out of the water. Although the entire brand deserves more recognition, the stand out collection in my opinion is the anti-wrinkle line. They offer oils, serums, eye creams, moisturizers, toners, scrubs, and more. You name it, they have it. And with their eco-ethical standards, you know when they say natural, they mean it. Their mixture of exfoliants, hydrators, and vitamins somehow give your skin a boost upon application and only improves texture even more so with extended use. Just because something isn’t shouted from the rooftops doesn't mean it isn’t worth indulging in.

DHC Superlong Mascara EX

You may recognize DHC as the Japanese skincare expert. The brand’s deep cleansing oil is a cult favorite, but even with that, most people overlook their makeup line. Although few, the products they offer are all highly rated. Everything from foundation to eyeliner deserves immense praise, and I had to add them to this list particularly because of their newest mascara. The Superlong Mascara EX stands out from the crowd. It has a simple and slightly curved traditional brush, contains lengthening fibers, and is water-resistant. Instead of giving you a false lash look, it adds length and volume while never clumping up and truly stays put all day. Not to mention, it features key ingredients that support lash health and enhances growth. And as a finale, it is also a breeze to remove. I am the pickiest when it comes to mascara, and this one has become a new favorite. If I weren’t stocking up on my holy grail lash tonic from DHC, I would have never heard about this life-changing mascara launch.

Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub

We all know and love Mario Badescu for its facial sprays and drying lotion, but the brand goes far beyond that. With a comprehensive selection of skincare for every single skin type, you can find everything you need from them. Acne serum? Yes. Anti-aging lotion? Yes. Eye cream? Duh. One of my personal favorites is their Botanical Exfoliating Scrub. It is invigorating, refreshing, and the perfect balance of porous and gentle. It leaves your pores clearer, smooths uneven texture, and gives you that subtle glow you desire. Sometimes even the most unexpected brands are much more than what they seem upon first glance.

The Body Shop Makeup

The Body Shop is a go-to for thick and indulgent body butters and bath essentials, but with the focus being on their bestsellers we forget about the entire makeup line, which is intensely underrated. They offer everything from BB creams to bronzers and mascaras, primers, and more. And to top it off, a decent amount of what they offer is vegan. This is not a slight makeup collection that features only the basics. The Body Shop has foundations, CC creams, and concealers for all skin tones and types. Sometimes a skincare brand branching out into makeup is a no-no, but they have done it without a hitch with lip glosses, liquid lipsticks, lip stains, brow powders, pencils, and everything in between. Their shade adjusting drops are a must-have if you struggle to find your perfect foundation. Their honey bronzer is a personal favorite of mine due to its soft matte finish and range of shades. If you want to try it all out, they also have a full line of makeup brushes to complete your look.
